Celebrate National Wreaths Across America Day on December 17, 2016, 11:30 AM in the Woodman Section of the South Buxton Cemetery.
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, South Buxton Cemetery and over 1,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
This is the 10th year that South Buxton Cemetery will take part in the simultaneous wreath laying ceremonies to remember and honor the fallen heroes in our community. The ceremony will include a prayer of remembrance and moment of silence at 12:00 pm. The program consists of the presentation of seven wreaths by former service members of each service branch followed by a keynote speaker, and several patriotic musical renditions. Taps will end the memorial honoring all veterans.
