The Town of Buxton is accepting applications for a Town Treasurer. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). The Treasurer is responsible for the accurate and timely operation of Town Treasurer functions which include the reconciliation of all revenue, maintaining bank accounts, keeping financial accounts current, monitoring income and expenses and overseeing investment opportunities, payroll, tax liens and more. The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience which includes administrative responsibility involving the receipt, deposit, disbursement and investment of large amounts of money in a number of accounts; have a four year degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Financial Management or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Municipal and TRIO software experience is desirable.
