2017 Eclipse Info
2017 Eclipse Information from NASA

The total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017 will only be a partial eclipse in Maine. The eclipse will begin at about 1:29 pm, reach it’s maximum at about 2:45 pm, and end at about 3:57 pm.

At no time will it be safe to view the eclipse without the proper eye protection. NASA has stated that regular sunglasses and welders’ masks are not adequate protection, but they offer four alternatives for safely viewing the eclipse. Further information is available in a two page PDF available here at Buxton News.

NASA will be streaming a 4 hour eclipse viewing event right here from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the 21st.
