Update July 23, 2019: The trial is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am on July 25, 2019 at York County Superior Court in Alfred.

Update July 15, 2019: Jury selection may take place on July 16, 2019.

Update June 18, 2019: The jury selection and trial have been postponed until July 15, 2019.

Jury selection has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the trial of Buxton Selectman Jean Harmon. Harmon will face Misdemeanor Assault charges that stem from an alleged assault on Buxton’s Solid Waste Manager, Greg Heffernan, outside of the Buxton Town Offices on October 3, 2018.

Buxton Police asked for assistance from the Saco Police Department who then issued a summons to Harmon on November 8, 2018.

Mrs. Harmon’s arraignment was scheduled for January 9, 2019, but she pleaded not guilty, through her attorney, on January 2, 2019.

If found guilty of assault, Harmon could face up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
