The York County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting an Amateur Radio Technician class in partnership with the ARRL on January 19 and 20, 2019.
“We are looking for new Ham Radio Operators to support our Emergency Communications Team.” said David Francoeur of the York County Emergency Management Agency. “We are hoping to some day get enough volunteers to cover emergency shelters in all of the 29 towns in York County.”
Class will start at 8:00 am and end at approximately 4:00 pm on both days. The class will be conducted at the York County Emergency Management Agency at 149 Jordan Springs Road in Alfred, Maine.
Participants will have an hour for lunch which they will obtain on their own each day.
Exams will be held at 3:00 pm on January 20. Exams for all license classes will be available.
