Public Safety Dispatchers perform a variety of clerical, administrative and technical work in receiving and dispatching routine and emergency information, keeping official records, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the Dispatch Center.

The Town of Buxton is seeking experienced applicants for Full Time Dispatcher. Qualified applicants must be 21 years of age, possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting, or bookkeeping, must have a valid driver’s license, must be in good physical health and required to perform the essential job functions of a Dispatcher. A job description is available upon request. The successful candidate will be required to pass an extensive background check, oral board, psychological examination, and polygraph test.
